Ronny Jackson's Ship Is Sunk By Fake News

Trump casts late-surfacing allegations against Jackson as entirely partisan.

The move comes after Jackson, a Navy rear admiral, withdrew his nomination for secretary of veterans affairs following a string of allegations that included he loosely handled prescription pain medications, was intoxicated during an overseas trip, and created a toxic work environment.

According to Defense Department spokesperson Tom Crosson, the Pentagon's inspector general "is assessing what investigations and reviews have already been conducted related to these issues, any jurisdictional issues that may relate to the allegations, and the scope of the allegations and complaints related to these issues". That promotion remains pending with the Senate Armed Services Committee, documents show. Navy officer Sean Conley, who took over as Trump's physician last month, will continue in the role, according to Politico's sources.

It has been confirmed by a White House official that Ayers indeed told John Kelly and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Joe Hagin about the matter, and they decided that the doctor for Mike and Karen Pence should report the matter through the appropriate medical and military channels.

This led to a slew of reports that Jackson would also give up his role as White House doctor. The doctor said the September incident was part of a pattern of "intimidating" behavior on Jackson's part that pushed him to consider resigning.

UK Home Secretary Rudd resigns over immigration scandal
She had been due to make another appearance before parliament on Monday, but instead opted to resign late Sunday. On Wednesday, Ms Rudd told the home affairs committee: "We do not have targets for removals".

Fast forward to Thursday, when the Secret Service issued a press release disputing this lie, writing that it "has no such record of any incident ... involving Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson".

Of course, Jackson withdrew from consideration, not because he lacked CEO-type experience, but because of damaging stories about his handing out sleeping pills on foreign trips, alleged drunkenness on the job, including a vehicle wreck, and a toxic management style.

Initially raised by Sen.

Following Adm. Jackson's announcement, Senator Jon Tester posted a message on Facebook reaffirming his commitment to "make sure the veterans of this nation get a strong, thoroughly vetted leader who will fight for them". None of the allegations she allegedly brought forth have been substantiated.

Jackson withdrew from consideration to be the next VA Secretary last week.

Over the weekend, at a campaign rally in Michigan, Trump claimed that he has information about Tester that, if released, would end the senator's career.

President Donald Trump on Saturday morning called for Montana Democratic Sen.

Jackson denied the allegations as "completely false and fabricated".
