Rose McGowan arrested, released for felony drug charge

Rose McGowan was arrested and released on bond after reporting to authorities in Virginia for felony possession of a controlled substance.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority says McGowan surrendered to Airports Authority Police on Tuesday.

A warrant for the Charmed star's arrest was issued earlier this year when two bags of cocaine were discovered in her purse after it was found on a United Airlines plane.

Last month, McGowan - who has been one of the loudest voices in the wake of Hollywood's sexual harassment scandals - alluded the warrant was a conspiracy.

New Guidelines Mean Millions More Americans Need to Lower Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is caused when the force of blood pushing against vessel walls is too high. The new guidelines eliminate the prehypertension category.

It is not clear to why it took nine months for the warrant to be put in order, but it comes just weeks after McGowan spoke out about her sexual assault.

McGowan and her attorney, Jim Hundley, are arguing that the drugs could have been planted according to a memorandum to the Virginia Commonwealth's Attorney asking that the charges be dismissed, cited by The New Yorker. And on February 1, a felony arrest warrant was issued.

The New Yorker alleges that Weinstein hired private agents to figure out a way to have McGowan arrested.

The 44-year-old handed herself in yesterday and was arrested and released on bail.

Manus Island refugees told they will not be removed by force
I think it's clear that we don't think what's happening there is acceptable, that's why the offer is there". They said they had exhausted their food supplies and were relying on rainwater to drink.

She said that a detective later contacted her and told her to come get her wallet.

Ms McGowan reportedly reached a settlement with Weinstein after a hotel room encounter during the Sundance Film Festival. "I had it in the side pocket of my backpack, and I left it on my seat as I went to the bathroom", she said.

A spokesperson for Weinstein previously told PEOPLE in a statement, "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein".

McGowan said she plans on fighting the charges. After disembarking, she was standing at baggage claim and made a decision to call a auto using the service Lyft, she said, when she noticed that her wallet was gone. "Imagining I'm going into sisterly solidarity, I can think of nothing more opposed to that, energetically, that I would want in my body at that moment". "What a load of HORSES-", she tweeted.

Morocco qualifies for World Cup, Ivory Coast misses out
Before today's matches, Morocco had 9 points while the Ivorians had 8 points; meaning the victor of the match would qualify. The Moroccan Football Federation has put up unprecedented financial rewards for the players of the Moroccan national team.

McGowan was bailed on a 5,000 USA dollar (£3,800) bond and is due to appear in court on Thursday. "I beat him to it", she told Farrow.
