While I’d be like 35 if this was true, I wish I could’ve been older in the 90’s so that I could’ve followed a Matchbox Twenty tour at least once. Wait, what? Actually, I have no shame admitting that Rob Thomas and Co. have created some of my favorite albums and if I could marry a voice, that man’s vocals would be my beau. It’s an attraction solely based on how he sounds though, physically I’m like…uh, he okay but no thanks, not for me.

No one should be forced to be somewhere they don’t want to be, or work with someone who makes them feel uncomfortable. Allegations aside, whether or not Dr. Luke is a rapist or not, despite what my girl Wendy Williams has said – the fact is that Sony is forcing a woman to stay somewhere that makes her feel unsafe. Looking at it from a business standpoint too – why keep her around? It seems like they’re going to waste resources on her. She even said they wouldn’t promote her music as well as others. So why even force her to make music that you’re not going to make anything off of? Just let her go, be done with one another and let her record elsewhere. If I was her and I couldn’t get out of it, I’d just record however many shitty records they expected and walk away with my middle finger in the air. Let’s hope she doesn’t have to do that and the label just lets her go free.

Rebecca Jade Juggles it All While Weathering the Storm

Growing up with a mother who spent her time in the jazz scene, it should’ve been easy to guess Rebecca Jade would you end up in music. She says however that her mother never forced it on her and let it come naturally and said of her mother, “She simply shared with me her experiences and musical influences, which were often jazz-related, but she also exposed me to many other genres, like R&B, classical, soul, rock, harmony-based groups, as well as musicals. Her exposure to me of music in general was such a gift that I wasn’t able to appreciate until I finally took music seriously as a career.”

It was actually sports that ruled her teen years, but later on she discovered where her life needed to be and that’s where we’ll begin…
