Fact: One of the funniest words to me us “bae.” Don’t ask me why I smile when someone actually uses it in a serious manner. I just thought about it, it has to be the shortened version of baby? OH. See, not until this second did I understand the origin story of the hilarious sign of affection the kids are using. Anyways, with it being my boyfriend’s birthday next week, I wanted to countdown some songs that remind me of moments we’ve shared, or just mushy love songs that I dedicate to him once in awhile.

10. Blackstreet “No Diggity”

Our first concert together. No, we haven’t been together since the ‘90s.

9. Michael Cera & Ellen Page “Anyone Else But You”

If I could play guitar and/or sing – I’d perform this ALL DAY for him. I’m not sure he’d like that, but it’d still happen.

8. Seal “Kiss from a Rose”

You can hear this being sung in an apartment in Van Nuys on a daily basis. Not in full, who knows all the words? Heidi Klum?

7. Paramore “Proof”

6. Shania Twain “Man! I Feel Like a Woman”

He got a free Shania shirt from work and thinks it’s okay to wear it…in public.

5. Backstreet Boys “No One Else Comes Close”

He knows going to a show one day is inevitable.

4. Soul Asylum “Runaway Train”

Another sing-a-long jam courtesy of an amazing Sunny episode.

3. Jason Mraz “I Won’t Give Up”

Our couple slogan, mantra, saying…? Anyways it’s, “Good days, bad days – as long as they’re days with together.”

2. Sir Mix-a-Lot “Baby Got Back”

It’s one of his first childhood memory stories he shared with me.

1. Angel Taylor “Chai Tea Latte”

THE song ❤
