MPs To Vote On Theresa May's Brexit Vote AGAIN Next Month

Jeremy Corbyn

Her own Brexit minister on Wednesday admitted the withdrawal agreement would be "dead" if rejected again. May struck with Brussels three times.

The comments by former soldier, defence select committee member, and foreign affairs select committee chair Crispin Blunt come after a series of polls showed sustained growth of support for the Brexit party.

This sentiment was echoed during Prime Minister's Questions, as Mrs May was challenged by Tory Eurosceptic Peter Bone, who said activists in his constituency favoured a no deal Brexit and wanted her to quit before the May 23 European elections.

"I have talked to colleagues, some of whom voted for it last time, and they think it is dead and they will vote against it this time", Peter Bone, a Conservative lawmaker and a prominent supporter of leaving the European Union, told Talk Radio.

He told the Press Association "I just don't follow the logic" of bringing the deal back to the Commons.

Wall St shudders as trade war intensifies
Investor confidence that the two sides were close to a resolution had helped push the market to its best yearly start in decades. The administration followed through on Friday, increasing tariffs from 10 to 25 percent on $200 billion of Chinese goods.

They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, but it seems to have been the prime strategy for May, the beleaguered Tory leader.

"She has no Plan B, so this is just desperate".

Why has May's Brexit deal failed to win support?

May's deal will keep the United Kingdom trapped within the EU's orbit for years and that it could ultimately pull the British province of Northern Ireland towards the bloc. May had promised to resign if it was passed.

But Labour may yet abstain in the fourth vote, allowing May's deal to pass the first stage of parliamentary approval, and seek to change the text ahead of subsequent readings. It will still contain the "backstop" to prevent a hard border in Northern Ireland, and Labour's demands for a permanent customs union will be ignored.

The announcement that the EU Withdrawal Bill is to return to the House of Commons, has probably put paid to any drastic moves to remove May before the beginning of June.

US Supreme Court Give Go Signal For Apple Antritrust Case To Proceed
To protect its interest, Apple has referred to a precedent ruling that was established by the Supreme Court in 1977. Apple is also under scrutiny by Dutch antitrust authorities over complaints about commissions in European markets.

"No leader can bind his or her successor so the deal would likely be at best temporary, at worst illusory", said the letter.

While European Union elections have always been seen as a safe place for mid-term protest votes to take place by the political establishment in the United Kingdom, polling showing that the month-old Brexit Party is now beating the Conservatives in even general election polling has sent shockwaves through Westminster.

Number 10 said efforts were continuing to find a "sustainable" majority for the deal, with discussions involving DUP and Labour MPs. "We urge you to think again".

After talks with opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn on Tuesday evening, May announced that MPs would vote on legislation to implement the Brexit deal in the week starting 3 June.

But after more than four weeks of talks, the two party leaders appear no closer to agreeing a common position.

Constance Wu explains Twitter rant
Sometimes even my closest friends are baffled at how I could value artistic challenge/difficulties over success/happiness. An ABC spokesman declined comment, and a Wu representative didn't immediately respond to an email.

"We have serious concerns about negotiating with a government that is in the process of disintegration and what has been said about what might happen if a new Tory (Conservative) leadership is in charge", a Labour spokesman said.
