Google Assistant driving mode announced at Google I/O

Android is the world's most popular OS, but it's not just for phones or tablets. There were lots of announcements regarding new projects Google has been working on but one of the highlights of the event was the official announcement of Android Q. So here's all the new stuff coming to the Android ecosystem later this year. Google also says that it has enhanced the UI with colorful accents and new fonts which help improve visibility.

Coupled with that improved on-device machine learning is Live Caption, a new feature targeted at deaf and hard of hearing users.

With the new layout, there should be significantly less screen switching. This also works with no info ever leaving the phone. You can then use Quick Tiles to turn on Focus Mode any time you want to focus. In Android Q, you will have the option to share location only while a data is being actively used.

Owner of Maximum Security appeals Kentucky Derby disqualification, pulls horse from Preakness
Critics of the disqualification include US President Donald Trump, who said the decision was "not a good one". He continued, "Only in the days of political correctness could such an overturn occur".

Starting in Beta 3, Google is enabling system-provided smart replies and actions that are inserted directly into notifications by default. That means the speed of the Assistant responses will no longer be at the mercy of your network connection. And if that's not enough, the Google Assistant is also getting a dedicated driving mode to help keep distractions to a minimum while you're in the auto, and new, more personalised suggestions when you're searching for things like recipes. For example, the system will continue playing media even as the driver starts the vehicle, and it will remember the navigation app of choice.

The new app launcher will it faster and easier to find apps; and the navigation centre will display recent call and voice notifications, allowing you to quickly interact with them. While all of our eyes will be on Android Q and Google's upcoming midrange smartphones, the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL, Google will also be taking some time to announce improvements/polishments to some of their current services, and maybe even announce some new services.
