Barr Has A 'Team' Looking Into The Mueller Investigation

Democratic House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler and the panel's top Republican Doug Collins have each called for special counsel Robert Mueller to testify before Congress about his report on Russian interference in the 2016 election

Barr will testify today before the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Democrats say they can't know what to make of Mueller's findings until they see them for themselves, but Barr's office has been working with Mueller's team to redact material before anyone outside a handful of Justice Department officials sees the report.

Barr reminded Tuesday's House panel he plans to release Mueller's report "within a week", a fact that has little hope of silencing the mounting accusations of a cover-up that have issued from the anti-Trump "Resistance" ever since the AG released a three-page summary of the report which appeared to exonerate the president of collusion charges without making a clear statement about his guilt on obstruction charges.

Barr was testifying for a second day at a congressional budget hearing that was dominated by questions about special counsel Robert Mueller's Trump-Russia investigation.

"Regardless of what Barr reported, they needed to claim vindication", said Republican strategist Alex Conant, who worked on Sen.

In IPO, Uber reveals 91 million users but slowing growth
The company's shares are set to begin trading next month on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol UBER. But its 2018 operating loss was just over $3 billion, down from the $4 billion net loss it incurred in 2017.

"I can envision a situation where, under appropriate safeguards, that information would be shared", Barr said, referring to the redactions generally.

"It was started illegally".

"I think they did what they had to do".

On his program Tuesday, Limbaugh said Democrats are being "driven mad", and they can not accept that there is no Trump-Russia collusion nor a conspiracy at the Justice Department to cover it up. "The question is whether it was adequately predicated" - meaning whether it was legally justified.

Barr's investigation into the origins of the Russian Federation probe is separate from the long-running Office of Inspector General investigation into the Justice Department's handling of the Russian Federation investigation. Every single thing about it.

Netanyahu set for record fifth term
Netanyahu sought to portray himself as Israel's essential statesman during the campaign and highlighted his bond with Trump. Such a move would previously have been nearly unthinkable, leaving Israel diplomatically isolated.

"I feel that I have an obligation to ensure government power was not abused", Barr said.

Asked again about spying at the end of the hearing, Barr tempered his tone. "I am saying I am concerned about it, and I am looking into it", he said. He told lawmakers he met with Mueller on March 4 for a preliminary discussion of the report and that Mueller's thinking was not a mystery to people he interfaced with at the Justice Department, including Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The FBI's ultimately successful warrant application to surveil Page, which relied in part on information from British ex-spy Christopher Steele - whose anti-Trump views are now well-documented - cited Page's suspected Russian Federation ties.

Though he said the document will be redacted to withhold negative information about peripheral figures in the investigation, he said that would not apply to Trump, an officeholder and someone central to the probe.

Other Democrats made similar comments on Barr's decisions related to the review of Mueller's probe, which, according to Barr, found no evidence of collusion and did not make a determination on obstruction of justice. He said that he had "some inkling as to some of the thinking of the special counsel" due to public reporting on indictments, etc. filed by Mueller.
