What we know about the Mar-a-Lago security breach

Federal investigators have opened a counterintelligence investigation into possible spying by the Chinese government following the arrest of a 32-year old woman at the Trump Organization's Mar-a-Lago private club in Florida last week, according to the Miami Herald.

When she became aggressive under questioning, she was detained by the Secret Service and later charged with making false statements and entering a restricted area.

Mar-a-Lago security "was unable to locate and verify Zhang" on the guest list, but a club official, when reached by security, said Zhang was the last name of a member of the club.

According to CNN's Erin Burnett, security at Mar-a Lago allowed Zhang to enter the property because of a misunderstanding due to a language barrier.

He contends that "we have very good control".

The 28-year-old will appear via video link in the Christchurch court from a maximum-security prison in Auckland. The judge also suppressed the names of the attempted murder victims.

US President Donald Trump has dismissed a recent alleged breach of his Florida resort, saying he was "not concerned" about the incident.

Early in Trump's presidency, the world saw pictures taken by a Mar-a-Lago member showing Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as they considered how to respond to a North Korean missile test - at a table during a dinner on the club's terrace.

There is no indication Zhang was ever near the president or that she personally knew Cindy Yang, a Chinese native, Republican donor and former Florida massage parlor owner who made news recently after it was learned she was promising Chinese business leaders that her consulting firm could get them access to Mar-a-Lago, where they could mingle with the president. Secret Service has done a fantastic job since day one.

While speaking to reporters Wednesday, the president said the incident was a "fluke situation".

Warren, who is also a presidential candidate, and Lynch asked whether the Secret Service is "appropriately notified" by the White House about people who want to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and elsewhere; whether it is able to conduct "appropriate background checks" on those with access to Trump; and if it has "recommended against granting any of these individuals" with access.

ISPR releases 'proof' further contradicting Indian claim of shooting down F-16
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated after the 49 CRPF personnel were killed in Pulwama district on February 14. The US might be reluctant to admit that an F-16 was possibly shot down by an obsolete warplane like the MiG-21.

Once Zhang was inside, she told a receptionist she was there to attend a nonexistent meeting of the United Nations Chinese American Association, the court filings said.

"No, I'm not concerned at all", Trump said.

Such interactions could make Mar-a-Lago a tempting target, particularly for cyberattacks.

Several federal lawmakers expressed their concern about security at the Florida resort, which Trump owns, in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday.

Rep. Lynch, along with Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, sent a letter to Homeland Security Acting Inspector General John Kelly, requesting that the watchdog "review the vetting processes" by federal officials at Mar-a-Lago and to probe whether the White House has at all interfered.
