Valve’s New VR Headset "The Index" Quietly Revealed, Coming May 2019

A high-contrast look at a few mysterious dots on the newly revealed Valve Index VR headset

From Valve's image, we can see two cameras that it uses for an inside-out tracking system, a button of unknown function, and a pupillary distance slider, which allows for adjustment of the image based on the distance between your pupils.

Valve's long-rumored VR headset has officially been unveiled, though initial details are incredibly light.

Russian Troops Land In Oil-Rich Venezuela
Opposition leader Juan Guiado and U.S. has criticised the move stating that it violates the constitution. Current president Nicolas Maduro , who is backed by Russian Federation , said this was a coup attempt.

Today Valve put up a website for a new VR headset called Valve Index, hinting at a more powerful HMD by calling for gamers to "upgrade their experience".

Now, Valve appears to be building a headset too.

Boeing 737 MAX makes emergency landing in Florida
A company official provided more details on work to update the flight-control software, which was not part of previous 737 models. The 737 Max was grounded in the US March 13 after a deadly crash involving a Max in Ethiopia on March 10 .

And yeah, we are aware that it's nearly the First of April, the most dreaded day on this job, but announcing a nice-looking VR headset doesn't exactly seem like something you'd do for a laugh (plus it looks like those leaked images).

We get one pretty good look at the headset, but for now the price and specs aren't clear.

Mick Schumacher to test Ferrari F1 vehicle in Bahrain
Schumacher will drive the Ferrari SF90 and Alfa Romeo Racing C38 at next week's post-race F1 test in Bahrain. It was also confirmed that he would have F1 test drives at Alfa Romeo the following day.

We'll have to wait until May for more concrete information, although that could simply be the date for an official reveal event rather than an actual launch window. Chances are the Valve Index will come bundled with the Knuckles SteamVR motion controller as well as some games, possibly even a version of Half-Life designed for Virtual Reality.
