Baby of British Isis bride Shamima Begum dies in Syria

Shamima Begum is stateless and her baby died last week

A decision by Britain to strip a teenage girl of her citizenship after she joined Islamic State in Syria was described as a "stain on the conscience" of the government on Saturday after her three-week old baby died.

Begum, who left east London to join ISIS in Syria when she was 15, made worldwide headlines last month as she publicly pleaded with the United Kingdom government to be allowed to return. She had lived inside the group's territory for four years, married a fighter and had two children, both of whom she said died of malnutrition and were buried in the Islamic State's last remaining village in Syria, which has now been encircled by coalition forces.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid has been criticised after the infant son of ISIS bride Shamima Begum died in Syria.

Tasnime Akunjee tweeted: "We have strong but as yet unconfirmed reports that Shamima Begum's son has died".

Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Ed Davey said the boy will be remembered if courts rule Mr Javid acted "illegally in making a British citizen stateless".

As the baby was born while Begum was still a British national, his status remains that of a British national.

She wanted to return to Britain but was stripped of her citizenship. A spokesman for the Home Office told CNN that the Home Secretary can deprive someone of their British citizenship "where it would not render the individual stateless".

Caliph Mirza Masroor Ahmad also acknowledged that taking Ms Begum to the Netherlands with her Dutch husband, Yago Riedijk, was also a possibility.

Kirsty McNeill, a director at Save the Children UK, said Britain should "take responsibility for their citizens" in Syria to prevent further unnecessary losses.

Shortly after the birth of her son, Jarrah, she told the BBC she wished her child to be raised in the UK.

Heavy snow expected to fall Saturday
The soggy snow will also put extra strain on buildings, with the possibility of roofs caving in, the weather service warns. The Met Office has issued a second severe weather warning for Northern Ireland only this time it's for snow and ice.

The boy's death has reignited the fierce debate over whether the British interior minister should have revoked Begum's citizenship.

Begum is now being held in a refugee camp in Syria, and her child had been with her.

"My number one job is to do whatever I can to keep this country safe", Mr Javid had said last month when announcing the revocation of her British citizenship.

Similarly on Friday Switzerland said it will not help bring home adult citizens who joined ISIS in Syria and Iraq, insisting national security was paramount.

Turkey brushes off USA warning over S-400 Russian missile purchase
As far as I can see, what USA officials are offering is considered to be "too little, too late" by Ankara. So, Turkey is not categorically against making an air defense system deal with Western allies.

"I request to the British people, please forgive her".

Begum's family is challenging the U.K.'s decision to revoke her citizenship.

Javid didn't comment directly on the baby's death.

'If the British Government has stripped her of her nationality then another country should adopt her, any Muslim country'.

In response to the news, a British government spokesperson told CNN that "the death of any child is tragic and deeply distressing for the family".
