Jussie Smollett's Case: Chicago PD Launch Internal Investigation Over False Info

Jussie Smollett Queen Latifah Defense

The Chicago Police have opened an internal investigation into the Jussie Smollett case.

The police department is looking into who was the culprit leaking information, which they state is "inaccurate", to the media.

Additionally, on Wednesday, CBS Chicago reported that dozens of hospital workers at Northwestern Memorial Hospital - where the Empire star was treated after allegedly getting attacked in a hate crime - may have been fired.

Kepa returns to Chelsea's starting XI for Fulham clash
Revealing he didn't tell Kepa he had been recalled until a team meeting on the day of the game, Sarri said: 'He played very well. Speaking in an interview with bwin , Pires said: "It's a very odd situation with Chelsea and how they treat their managers".

One of the nurses said it was a misunderstanding, and claimed she never even accessed Smollett's chart, but she was sacked last week and believes many other nurses and staffers were fired for the same reason.

On Jan. 29, Smollett arrived at Northwestern and claimed he was attacked by two men while walking home from a Subway around 2 a.m. She said she never accessed the actor's chart, but simply scrolled past it when looking for another patient's name. That same nurse believes others, like her, were fired for the same reason. The actor, who is black and gay, said the masked men beat him, made derogatory comments and yelled, "This is MAGA country" - an apparent reference to President Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again" - before fleeing.

Smollett was arrested on February 21 after being charged with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report in which he claimed he was the victim of a hate crime.

Ajax - Champions League - 6 March 2019
It lasted two minutes, as Lasse Schone sent a bending free-kick into the top corner before Nacho was sent off late on. It also ends an unprecedented era of dominance in the Champions League after winning three straight titles.

Jussie Smollett is not the only one in hot water over his alleged January Chicago attack. Smollett was then arrested and released on a $100,000 bond. However, TMZ reported the Federal Bureau of Investigation said the Chicago Police were "overstating" and "went too far" when they said Jussie sent a hateful January 22 letter to himself.

The blast radius from the alleged racist and homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett continues to grow - and we don't mean the actor's future onEmpire or his next court appearance.

TMZ also reported, "We're told authorities are trying to determine if the pages have the lettering found in the letter".

At least 23 killed after "catastrophic" tornadoes hit Lee County
She said it was unclear how many tornadoes touched down but said the service issued at least six warnings on Sunday afternoon. Kay Ivey extended an existing state of emergency due to severe weather, and search and rescue efforts will continue today.

Smollett has maintained his innocence.
