Did Trump's White House published a doctored video?

U.S. President Donald Trump gets into a heated exchange with CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta as NBC correspondent Peter Alexander looks on during a post-election press conference in the East Room of the White House in Washington DC on Nove

On Wednesday, the White House shockingly pulled the credentials of reporter Jim Acosta, after the CNN reporter got into a heated exchange with President Trump during a televised press conference.

President Trump unloaded on CNN's senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta Friday morning; calling the reporter totally "unprofessional" and demanding he treat the office of the presidency with "respect".

We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern. The reporter was in the midst of a terse back-and-forth with Trump, whom he was trying to ask a question about a migrant caravan heading for the U.S.

"It's such a hostile media", Trump said after ordering reporter April Ryan of the American Urban Radio Networks to sit down when she tried to ask him a question.

Some say video shared by press secretary Sarah Sanders on Twitter as justification for revoking Acosta's pass appeared to have been slightly altered when compared the original footage as posted by other news organizations.

Thousands demand Mueller protection after Trump fires Sessions
The row, carried live on national TV networks, was followed by Trump issuing angry put-downs to several other reporters. We're mobilizing immediately to demand accountability, because Trump is not above the law.

Before he became United States president, Donald Trump was famous for dismissing contestants on his television show "The Apprentice" with a resounding "You're fired!"

Acosta's press pass was revoked after he had an exchange with Trump during a press conference on November 7 and refused to surrender his mic to an intern, blocking her with his arm. She's very nasty, and she shouldn't be.

An association representing the Washington press corps urged the White House to immediately reverse "this weak and misguided action".

On Friday, the president lambasted CNN White House correspondent Abby D. Phillip after she questioned him about special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe after the appointment of Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general. "You shouldn't be working for CNN", he said.

It seems pretty evident that people pushing the "doctored" video claim were eager to take sides in the spat over Acosta by dismissing the White House defense as a blatant lie.

Trump administration blocks asylum claims by those crossing border illegally
About 4,800 migrants are sheltered in a sports complex in Mexico City, some 600 miles (965 kilometers) from the US border. Administration officials have said existing US asylum rules encourage illegal immigration and bog down legitimate claims.

At Friday's Q&A session, Trump also had sharp words for CNN White House correspondent Abby Phillip. "And this President doesn't like that, so I'm a loser?" she asked incredulously.

See what I did there? You and I have a difference of opinion. They insist on taking everything the man says hyper-literally and then critically analyze every goofy, bombastic, hyperbolic, or sarcastic Trump utterance or tweet.

Because the White House briefing room isn't the appropriate place to deliver commentary in the form of questions. The news outlet was under fire for a series of reports on the alleged Trump-Russia ties.

The president said he had not decided if Acosta's pass would be reinstated and he suggested there "could be others" who lose their credentials.
