Megyn Kelly Fired From NBC

Megyn Kelly MIA From NBC Morning Show Today And Tomorrow As Longterm Return Unlikely

CNN says she's unlikely to return at all to the show, regardless of how long it stays on the air. And Kelly has openly told friends in recent weeks about her unhappiness with top executives at NBC News. He is a Philadelphia-area native and the former CEO of Authentium, Inc. Then she'd still have a job.

It's unimaginable. Where would they put her? Furthermore, NBC has long had a policy against having sponsored integration in a news-focused program like The Today Show.

Before Brunt won her over, Kelly was married to Dr. Dan Kendall from 2001 to 2006. At the time, Andrew Lack, Chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group, said in a statement, "Megyn is an exceptional journalist and news anchor, who has had an extraordinary career". "When she made that comment about it not being in her current marriage it irritated me a bit because it seemed like she was suggesting it was me".

"To be this person she claims to be-a scholar of history, and a person well versed in American culture-she should have known about the history of blackface and why it's highly offensive", Napier said. The network did assign her as part of the team to cover the Olympics coverage in February, saying it did not want to disrupt her momentum.

Jamie Lee Curtis Explains Why Halloween’s Continuity Makes No Sense
The Melissa McCarthy film " Can You Ever Forgive Me ", about the literary forger Lee Israel, grossed $150,000 in five locations. David Gordon Green directs the latest " Halloween ", but original director John Carpenter serves as executive producer.

NBC didn't comment on those reports Thursday. She did so in an email to her colleagues and on-air.

It is unclear if she will remain with the network in a lesser role.

Her Sunday magazine show was seen as a flop, her daytime show Megyn Kelly Today hasn't been the ratings success they were hoping for, and she has been the subject of constant mockery and criticism by anonymous NBC sources in the tabloids. When NBC brought her over they paid her an enormously high salary, built her a $10m studio and let her bring all her own staff. Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter, including the cast of "House of Cards", several guests have already cancelled appearances on her show next week.

Spokespeople for NBC News declined to comment on her future at the network, and most staffers at the news division remain in the dark about what's happening with the show.

2 men charged in Georgia officer's shooting death
The officer was approaching the auto when, police say, Maynard fired a weapon from inside the vehicle and struck him. Authorities said Toney had family members in California, though the exact location wasn't immediately known.

The mea culpa was clearly a case of too little, too late for the Peacock. which, to be honest, had issues with Megyn's show even before the blackface blowup.

On Wednesday it was reported that Kelly had fired her agent at Creative Artists Agency after rumours circulated that she might be moving on from her NBC daytime show.
