A woman in Spring, Texas, abandoned a 2-year-old boy on a stranger's doorstep on the night of October 17.

When the boy was not dropped off, the father assumed plans had changed and left the home for the night. He added they initially didn't know the father lived next door because the man wasn't home when police combed the area.

The family of a toddler seen in surveillance video being abandoned on a doorstep in Spring, Texas has been found.

She then rang the doorbell, knocked on the door and sprinted away, leaving the little boy standing clueless in front of the door. The entire incident lasted 23 seconds.

The black female suspect is believed to be in mid-20s or early-30s, with long hair and tattoos on her right arm.

The sheriff's office will continue to investigate.
