Judiciary Committee Reviews New Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Kavanaugh

In a sworn statement, she said she witnessed Mr Kavanaugh "consistently engage in excessive drinking and inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with women in the early 1980s". Swetnick claims that the boys in the lineup included Kavanaugh and Judge, but does not say that they assaulted the girls, or the names of other witnesses who could corroborate it.

President Donald Trump said he's open to changing his mind on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh - if the evidence at Thursday's Senate committee hearing is compelling.

Avenatti, who has risen to prominence representing Stormy Daniels in her legal battles with President Trump, posted the affidavit to Twitter, demanding an FBI investigation.

Kavanaugh denied the new allegations of sexual misconduct, saying they're from the "Twilight Zone".

Will supply of S-300 to Syria harm Russia-Israel ties?
This move is in response to a Syrian missile inadvertently shooting down a Russian plane last week, killing 15 Russians on board. The third reason for Russia's behavior is the situation in Syria and the Middle East in general.

"That's very important because apparently in those notes, there's a differing story about how many people were present at the party, there's no mention of Judge Kavanaugh, and so all that information would be very important to determine whether there's any corroboration of this allegation", she said. She said she was also aware of efforts by Kavanaugh and Judge to "spike" the punch at parties in order to take advantage of women who were there.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley will make an opening statement with no time limit, followed by an opening statement from the top Democrat on the committee, Sen. Ford has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were both teenagers in the 1980s.

Of Ramirez's allegation, Trump said: "And now a new charge comes up".

"Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh". Kavanaugh has denied the allegation.

Trump says second Kavanaugh accuser was 'drunk,' says Democrats playing 'con game'
Ashley Kavanaugh was asked whether she wondered if her husband was telling the truth about the allegations against him. Kavanaugh said Monday, "I never did any such thing". "Gee, let's not make him a Supreme Court judge".

It's unclear if the calendars will affect the opinions of the senators on the committee about Ford's allegation.

The allegations have generated much uncertainty over Kavanaugh's confirmation, with a handful of Republican Senators expressing their doubts in his character. The Supreme Court nominee will be sworn in and will then give his opening statement. Another committee spokesman, Taylor Foy, said the panel received Swetnick's declaration Wednesday and "committee lawyers are in the process of reviewing it now".

The 51-year-old Ford made the accusation in a letter to Democratic lawmakers after Kavanaugh was shortlisted for the Supreme Court opening vacated by Justice Anthony Kennedy. Ford says she didn't tell anyone until 2012.
