Ford testimony 'credible,' a 'disaster for Republicans'

Lawyer for second Kavanaugh accuser says her client is 'willing to testify'

The hearing starts at 10 a.m.

Kavanaugh told the committee that he "intend [s] no ill will toward Dr. Ford" and that one of his daughters suggested she and her sister pray for Ford. Judge Kavanaugh answered almost 1,300 written questions submitted to senators after the hearing, more than all prior Supreme Court nominees. "This confirmation process has become a national disgrace", he shouted into the microphone, as you can see in the above PBS NewsHour clip. The third person in the room jumped on the bed, the three tumbled to the floor, and Ford escaped.

She said that Kavanaugh's declaration of "innocence" and lack of sexual inactivity in high school on Fox News is a lie.

But she returned to that point later, when responding to a question from Democratic Sen.

Graham called into question numerous allegations against Kavanaugh, saying his latest accuser Julie Swetnick's account was "complete garbage".

"I am here today not because I want to be - I am terrified".

Chelsea flop needs regular games to be a success at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho broke a Premier League record with his performance against West Ham United on Sunday afternoon. Sarri has admitted the responsibility is on Chelsea and other Premier League clubs to clamour for the change.

Since Ford's allegations were made public, two other women (Julie Swetnick and Deborah Ramirez) have come forward also accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct during the early 1980s.

Another former Trump official said that Ford's testimony means that Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court is now in deep trouble - and they doubted that he could save it during his testimony.

The high-stakes hearing could determine Kavanaugh's chances of securing the lifetime post on the country's top court. "My responsibility is to tell the truth".

He went on to say, "Only at an 11th hour, on the eve of Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation vote, did the ranking member refer the allegations to the Federal Bureau of Investigation".

In written testimony for Thursday's Senate hearing where both he and Ford will testify, Kavanaugh acknowledged drinking in high school with his friends, but said he's never done anything "remotely resembling" the sexual misconduct alleged by his chief accuser.

He could surround himself with female allies and family members in an effort to appear sympathetic and to attempt to shift the focus to his actions as a professional. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, that Mitchell, the prosecutor, will continue to question Ford on the senators' behalf. Even after her own world failed to keep her safe, she expected to be heard.

Ms Mitchell opened her questioning by sympathising with Dr Ford.

Senators handing their responsibility off to someone else, as the GOP has in this case, is highly unusual.

Kavanaugh has been questioned by Committee investigators about all these accusations and denies all.

The second allegation, raised by Whitehouse, alleges that in 1985 "a close acquaintance of the constituent was sexually assaulted by two heavily inebriated men she referred to at the time as Brett and Mark". Kavanaugh also denied new accusations released in Senate Judiciary Committee transcripts Wednesday night. This is just completely made up, or at least not me.
