Four dead including gunman after Cincinnati bank shooting

The suspect died after being "engaged" by police officers.

The gunman could be seen taking "shots at anyone he sees", Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said in a press conference Friday. Yudy Martinez Perez broke down in sobs when she learned her nephew was the shooter, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

The shooter's identity or motive were not released.

Bank manager Greg Harshfield told CNN affiliate WXIX that he could hear the shooting unfold from an upper floor of the building.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley said the gunman was "actively shooting innocent victims". "I went around to the north side of the building and sat down", he told The Enquirer.

"A very horrific situation", Isaac said at the scene.
