LeBron James officially opened his I Promise School on Monday for 240 third and fourth graders.

The LeBron James Family Foundation now serves more than 1,300 students with various programs, support, and mentors throughout the Akron area.

The school is decorated with motivational phrases, murals featuring people like Martin Luther King Jr., and even James' sneakers, which will eventually be sold at a fundraising auction for the school.

Turkey tells United States to reverse its 'wrong decision' over sanctions
He acknowledged "lots of challenges" with Turkey, but said Washington and Ankara had been able to work closely and well together. Brunson has ties to a Turkish preacher now living in exile in the USA whom Ankara accuses of fomenting the coup.

He will retire as either the best, or second best basketball player that has ever played the game, and his influence on the sport will last a lifetime.

Meanwhile, James' longtime friends Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade publicly praised him for his remarkable community effort.

"Every one of these kids, maybe they don't become LeBron James on the basketball court, but they become the LeBron James of their passion and dream in life", said Michele Campbell, the executive director of the LeBron James Family Foundation, as reported by USA Today.

Facebook's day of reckoning: Blip or sign of broader turn?
The complaint also aimed at the company's failure to report falling operating margins and the significant decline in active users. He said the 19 percent plunge in Facebook shares the next day stemmed from federal securities law violations by the defendants.

"Because I love the young guys [the Lakers] have, and I'm not trying to force my hand in no way, shape or form", James said when asked about a potential Leonard trade. "I remember our foundation having a bike-a-thon, and I never thought a five-mile bike ride would turn into a school. So I know exactly what a lot of these kids are going through". "I think there's going to be months where we're really good, there's going to be months where we're not so good and that's just going to come from familiarity". I know the trials and tribulations they go through.

"It's kind of bittersweet timing because, on this hand, I have a brand new school that's opening". For those students that complete the I Promise School, James has created a program for free tuition to the University of Akron starting in 2021. School days run from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m., July through May, with the extended hours aimed at further teaching and protecting students from possibly falling victim to their environment.

"If there's somebody they want to play with, and they have the opportunity to do it, then go for it".

Top US official meets Afghan Taliban in Qatar
The United States and Afghanistan are also trying to arrange a second ceasefire with the Taliban over Eidul Azha. The strategy depends on the Afghan government's willingness to pull back its own forces.

James' comments were an apparent reference to Trump's continued crusade against NFL players who protest during the national anthem.
