New York Orders Charter Out of The State

Charter is the state's largest cable provider, offering television, internet and phone services in more than 1,150 communities across NY with a potential customer base of 5 million, according to the Public Service Commission.

The state outlines Charter failed "repeatedly" to meet scheduled deadlines, failed to uphold commitments made to serve rural communities, and engages in unsafe practices in the field.

New York's utility regulators moved Friday to revoke Charter Communication's ability to operate in the state, arguing that the state's top cable provider hasn't lived up to the terms of its 2016 merger with Time Warner Cable.

New York State officials announced Friday they are taking steps to remove cable service provider Charter Spectrum from the state.

Soleimani called Trump a "gambler" and said his language belongs in "nightclubs". You may begin a war, but it is us who will end it.

"Its failure to meet its June 18, 2018 target by more than 40 percent is only the most recent example." the Commission adds.

Charter, the second-largest cable provider in the U.S. after Comcast, completed its $56.7 billion deal to buy Time Warner Cable in 2016. The state also fined the company $3 million and said it must provide uninterrupted service during the transition period.

Russell continued: "Our 11,000 diverse and locally based workers, who serve millions of customers in the state every day, remain focused on delivering faster and better broadband to more New Yorkers, as we promised".

However, he said Kim needed to follow through on his summit commitments to denuclearise. An estimated 5,300 USA troops are still unaccounted for in North Korea.

NY regulators have revoked their approval of Charter Communications' merger with Time Warner Cable and ordered the company to find another cable provider for its more than 2 million customers in the state.

Charter has 30 days to appeal the commission's decision to revoke its agreement to the merger.

PSC Chairman John Rhodes said Charter is "simply not serving New Yorkers".

The commission said the USA broadband provider failed to live up to its agreement as part of the merger to build internet access to an additional 145,000 households and businesses in rural areas of NY under-served by internet providers. One solution could see Charter spinning off its NY division; it's also possible that the division could be sold to someone else. "Charter must ensure no interruption in service is experienced by customers, and, in the event that Charter does not do so, the Commission will take further steps, including seeking injunctive relief in Supreme Court in order to protect NY consumers".
