Trump's approval rating edged higher during week of Putin summit

‘Little doubt’ FBI & DOJ misled courts in Carter Page probe – Trump on FISA files

U.S. President Donald Trump says he "gave up nothing" at a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, suggesting he made no concessions or agreements that might be detrimental to U.S. interests.

He blamed the mainstream news media, "Fake News" as he called it again, for "talking negatively" about his meeting with Putin.

'Also, we got along very well, which is a good thing, except for the Corrupt Media!' the president added.

Mr Trump has drawn strong criticism from both Republicans and Democrats over his initial reluctance to blame Russian Federation for alleged meddling in the 2016 United States elections that he won.

Microsoft beats Wall St targets on cloud services revenue
Gaming revenue increased 39% to $2.3bn, with the company's number of Xbox Live monthly active users increasing to 57 million. Industry experts expect Cloud to continue to outpace traditional software sales models which Microsoft is well aware of.

Trump waited 27 hours, sent five tweets and sat for two television interviews after his initial comments in Helsinki before claiming he'd used a confusing "double negative" and meant "would" instead of "wouldn't" in a key sentence at his press conference about who was responsible for election meddling.

Gowdy also went on to offer President Trump some advice: concluding "that Russian Federation interfered with us ... does not delegitimize your presidency".

But details of what Trump and Putin may have decided have not emerged.

Trump's public doubting of USA intelligence conclusions about Russian election interference during the Helsinki summit sparked waves of condemnation from political allies and days of walk-backs from his administration.

President Trump asserts Russia not targeting US, contradicting intel
One user said Melania "was the only one in the room who understands how risky this man actually is", referring to Putin. Lindsey Graham said there was a "big discrepancy" between the president's statement and U.S.

Page has not been charged and on Sunday told CNN the allegations that he was conscripted by Russian Federation are "ridiculous" and not true. "The Democrats want to try to find that one drop of blood in the water so that they can focus on Russian Federation, their favorite subject".

A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showed 88% of Republicans approve of the job Trump is doing as president.

Following the two leaders' summit in Helsinki, Trump previously said they discussed a range of issues, including efforts to denuclearize North Korea, the Middle East peace efforts and cyber attacks but has not given any details.

Trump has repeatedly cast doubt on the findings of USA intelligence agencies that released a report in January 2017 saying they concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered a hacking-and-propaganda campaign targeting the election.
