After week of walkbacks, Trump points to "big hoax" in Russian interference

Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday, the Florida Republican told host Jake Tapper he has a "different view" on the meaning of the documents from Trump, who tweeted hours earlier that they prove his campaign was being "illegally spied upon".

The heavily redacted documents were released after a week of developments following the United States president's meeting on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.

New documents related to the wiretapping of Carter Page - the former Trump campaign adviser at the center of the Russian Federation investigation and bias allegations at the FBI - were released by the Trump administration on Saturday.

The Department of Justice released a batch of documents yesterday regarding the FISA application used to collect information on former Trump campaign advisor, Carter Page. The FBI and the Justice Department, when they go into that court, should not be alone any more.

"I've never been anywhere near what's being described here" in the released documents, Page said.

Amazon's hopes its Prime Day doesn't go to the dogs
The Verdi union also said workers in Spain were staging a three-day strike, while Polish workers were staging a work to rule. After the United States, Germany is Amazon's second largest national market.

Trump's statements on Twitter followed sharp criticism, including from some Republicans, of his meeting in Finland last week with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In each of those applications, the department said it was providing the court updated information about its investigation, but those details were largely omitted from the materials released Saturday.

Trump, however, rejected Schiff's interpretation of the warrant application documents. The application to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court, made in October 2016, alleged that Page "has been collaborating and conspiring with the Russian government". I don't-They did not spy on the campaign from anything and everything that I have seen, ' Rubio said.

The documents' release comes nine days after 12 Russians were charged with hacking Democratic officials in the 2016 U.S. elections.

Carter Page, a foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, speaks with reporters following a day of questions from the House Intelligence Committee, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Nov. 2, 2017.

The surveillance of Page sparked intense rivalry in February between lawmakers from Trump's Republican Party and their Democratic counterparts.

Trump's intelligence chief Dan Coats goes in on Russian interference
Trump has faced criticism from both Democrats and Republicans about his handling of the Helsinki summit with Putin on Monday. He asserted at the White House that no other American president has been as tough on Russian Federation .

In a 2013 letter, Page described himself as an "informal adviser' to the Kremlin, but now he told CNN "it's really spin" to call him an adviser". Witch Hunt Rigged, a Scam!, " wrote Trump, who's spending the weekend at his golf resort in New Jersey.

Mr Trump defied his own Federal Bureau of Investigation director and the Justice Department to declassify the four-page Republican document, which was based on the much larger secret court application record which has now been released. He blamed Trump for making public House Republicans' initial memo about the FISA applications, a move by Trump that the congressman called "nakedly political and self-interested, and created to to (sic) interfere with the Special Counsel's investigation".

Page himself ducked questions about what, exactly, his connections to Russian Federation had been.

Of note, in the almost two years since the application was filed, Page hasn't been charged with any of the allegations contained within it. "If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action", Rosenstein said in a statament.
