Mueller Names Russian Kilimnik In New Indictment

Спецпрокурор Мюллер предъявил обвинения Полу Манафорту

A federal grand jury returned a third superseding indictment against Paul Manafort Friday, while also adding the former Trump campaign chairman's longtime associate, Konstantin Kilimnik, of Moscow.

According to the Associated Press, the newly unsealed charges against Manafort stem from his alleged efforts "to tamper with witnesses as he awaits trial of felony charges related to foreign lobbying work".

Manafort, who was chairman of Trump's campaign for several months in 2016, has been charged with multiple counts of tax evasion, money laundering and bank fraud.

New charges have been filed against President Trump's former adviser Paul Manafort as part of the U.S. probe into Russian meddling.

Trump plows into G-7 summit, facing foreign critics
Trump has said he'll use the summit to argue that the other six nations are taking advantage of the USA on trade. Manufacturing, an industry Trump focuses on, makes up about 10 percent of United States economic output.

Kilimnik, described as a former Russian intelligence officer, worked with Manafort on the Yanukovych job.

Manafort led the Trump campaign during the summer of 2016, but stepped down as his connections to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych drew a tidal wave of scrutiny. The July 2016 offer referred to Oleg Deripaska, who has accused Manafort of defrauding him as part of a multimillion-dollar deal several years ago.

Earlier this week, Trump tweeted that Manafort "came into the campaign very late and was with us for a short period of time". They said nothing governing the terms of their client's pretrial release prevents him from having contact with anyone, that the apps, which encrypt messages, that Manafort used are commonplace and that he'd asked no one to produce a false affidavit or false testimony at trial.

Paul Manafort's legal headaches just intensified. The dismissive nature of Manafort's response is maintained throughout the response.

Welbeck: Southgate wants England to express themselves
He featured in 35 Premier League games for the Red Devils, scoring and assisting a respectable seven and five goals respectively. However, the Three Lions could not add any more goals to their tally for the first stanza and took a 1-0 lead into the break.

The new charges will factor heavily into whether U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson allows Manafort to remain on house arrest. "Basically P wants to give him a quick summary that he says to everybody (which is true) that our friends never lobbied in the USA, and the goal of the program was European Union", a person believed to be Kilimnik wrote in a WhatsApp message to one of the witnesses.

Manafort on Friday denied that he was attempting to change the testimonies of witnesses, citing a lack of evidence put forward by the special counsel.

In the filing, Manafort's attorneys accused Mueller of bringing the charges on "the thinnest of evidence": an 84-second phone call and text messages between Manafort and the two former business associates.

Financial records obtained by The New York Times indicated that Manafort was in debt to pro-Russian interests by up to $17 million prior to joining Trump's campaign. "Indeed, previously", Manafort said. They accused Mueller of conjuring up a "sinister plot" and said the allegations were meant to generate widespread - and intensely negative - media coverage of Manafort.

Israel trolls Iran's social media threat with 'Mean Girls' GIF
European leaders have moved to salvage the deal after US President Donald Trump's announcement of Washington's exit on May 8. The deal allows Iran to continue 3.67% uranium enrichment, far below the roughly 90% threshold of weapons-grade.
