The veteran peace negotiator, who was at the United Nations headquarters on Wednesday to attend a meeting on the Palestinian issue, said "It is not Hamas which is responsible for the killing fields that Israel has carried out in Gaza".

A large number of Palestinians gathered to protest on the Gaza Strip's eastern border to commemorate the Nakba anniversary and protest the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which overturned decades of American foreign policy.
