Israel Targets Iran Military Forces In Syria

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov

Israel said it attacked almost all of Iran's military infrastructure in Syria on Thursday after Iranian forces fired rockets at Israeli-held territory for the first time in the most extensive military exchange ever between the two adversaries.

Germany and Britain joined the United States in denouncing the rocket fire towards the Israel-occupied Golan Heights they also said was carried out by Iran, while France reiterated its "unwavering support for Israel's security".

Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said the Iranian rockets either fell short of their targets - military bases in the Golan - or were intercepted.

Russia, which supports Syrian President Bashar Assad-and a brutal regime that has devastated the country and its people-notably urged restraint on all sides to prevent further escalation.

In April, Israel struck the T-4 airbase in Syria's western Homs province, reportedly killing a number of Iranian army officers, sparking fears of possible reprisal by Iran.

Iran foreign minister sets off on tour to save nuclear deal
Iran signed the nuclear deal in 2015 with the United States, as well as Britain, China , France, Germany and Russian Federation . Earlier in the week, France, Germany and the United Kingdom expressed "regret and concern" over the US' withdrawal.

"Our reaction was a effect", Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video posted on social media.

Guterres' comments came as a calm night followed intense attacks on parts of Syria by Israel. In 1974, Israel and Syria reached a cease-fire and a disengagement deal that froze the conflict lines with the plateau in Israeli hands.

But, he says, friends of Israel and students of scripture may have some reason to feel confident.

This appears to be the first time Iranian forces have directly attacked Israel. Syria's capital, Damascus, shook with sounds of explosions just before dawn, and firing by Syrian air defenses over the city was heard throughout the night.

In its first response to the military confrontation between Iran and Israel, Tehran on Friday slammed the missile attacks from Tel Aviv, calling them a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty.

California school shooting: Student shot at by classmate
Witnesses who were outside the school described hearing a gunshot or gunshots, and seeing students running from the building. The Sheriff's Department said another 14-year-old student was shot in the arm and taken to a hospital in stable condition.

If Iran continues to launch direct attacks on Israel from Syrian soil, Israel is likely to retaliate with ever-larger airstrikes.

Russia, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now meeting with President Vladimir Putin, signaled that it would in no way hinder Israel in defending itself against Iranian aggression.

Now, Iran's only recourse may be to silently take the beating or unleash Hezbollah for all-out war on Israel. In February, an Iranian drone was shot down over Israeli territory.

US President Donald Trump signs an act that Jewish groups praise as helpful in their efforts to reclaim lost property in Poland, but which the Polish government says is discriminatory. The organization claimed that Israel was behind the attack.

Iran has been coy about its own alleged involvement but has strongly condemned the Israeli attacks and the world's reaction - or lack of it.

Klopp keeps focus on Brighton amid Real talk
Speaking on Friday, he said: "I would say so". "We had so many tests to pass and the boys really delivered in almost all of them". We were up against an outstanding team on Wednesday and we are up against an outstanding team on Sunday.

Israeli officials have expressed disappointment that neither the US nor Russian Federation has committed to prevent the Iranian military from striking root permanently in Syria.
