The Trump administration vs. the migrant caravan

Migrant Caravan Arrives At US Border, Despite Trump's Threats

In an interview with Fox News's Steve Hilton, Coulter slammed Trump for not more effectively stopping the arrival of the caravan at the U.S. -Mexico border.

Vice President Mike Pence planned to visit the U.S. - Mexico border wall in Imperial County Monday, while about 100 miles to the west of where Pence will visit Calexico, a couple hundred people traveling in a migrant caravan from Central America remain on the south side of the wall seeking asylum in the United States.

By foot, bus and train, members of the caravan journeyed through Mexico since leaving the southern border city of Tapachula on March 25 with the goal of reaching the Tijuana-San Diego border.

After a grueling 2,000-mile (3,200-km) trek, a group of Central American asylum-seekers have finally made it to the USA border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a San Diego border crossing facility has reached capacity.

The refugees say they are trying to escape deadly gang violence in their home countries, such as Honduras and El Salvador, and seek to enter the United States legally by taking a 15-minute walk over the pedestrian bridge at the busy San Ysidro border. Pueblo Sin Fronteras helps migrants stay together in a group throughout their journey, to protect themselves from harsh natural elements, as well as those who seek to abuse them, and to help them move past law enforcement officials. "They are laughed at all over the world", Mr. Trump said.

Messi makes another La Liga history
The fans have launched songs to remember their arch rival Real Madrid who is competing in the Champions League . This wasn't Barca's only big win of the season, but it may well have been their most impressive.

The caravan has angered Trump for weeks. Now dozens within the group are vowing to wait at the border until "every last one" is admitted into the US. Mirroring the president's tweets, a fundraising email sent out in April touted Trump's orders to "STOP the caravan of illegal immigrants trying to cross our WIDE-OPEN BORDER". "They want in on the act!" he said in a series of tweet. Simply put: Nine out of 10 asylum-seekers were granted asylum by some judges, while less than one in 10 were successful before other judges, even within the same court. "They need to let them in and deal with their claims".

The caravan, CNN adds, "is both a humanitarian and an activist mission, as organizers created the event to draw greater attention to the migrants' plight". But late Sunday afternoon it was unclear whether any of them had been processed.

Mexican authorities allowed about 50 people to cross a long bridge leading to the USA inspection facility on Sunday but US authorities told them to wait.

UNIDENTIFIED PROTESTERS: (Chanting) Si, se puede.

It is legal for migrants to arrive at an official United States port of entry and ask for asylum if they fear violence in their home countries.

"At this time, I don't have a timeline for when that will be", her statement said.

In the second round, the Steelers took James Washington , a wide receiver who is also from Oklahoma State. He finished his OSU career with 4,462 receiving yards, most in Cowboy history.

Most stopped well short of the United States, but yesterday, nearly 200 arrived at the border near San Diego. But the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol has said that it was already at capacity. As of 5:30 p.m., they were still waiting there.

But whether the US plans to offer asylum remains unclear.

"They have been well aware that a caravan is going to arrive at the border", Nicole Ramos, a lawyer working on behalf of caravan members, told a news conference.

He used the disappointing moment to make a political statement: "We hope that someday, the priorities of the United States government are such that we take care of people who are fleeing violence, before we try to round up people in our cities and deport them in ICE raids".
