Trump calls Mueller probe an 'attack' on US

Robert Mueller reportedly probes Ukrainian businessman's $150000 payment for Trump speech

The special counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly probing a $150,000 donation a pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch made to the Trump Foundation in September 2015.

At the start of a meeting with senior military leadership Monday night, President Trump blasted the FBI's raid of his personal lawyer's office, calling it a "disgraceful situation" and an "attack on our country in a true sense ... an attack on what we all stand for".

'He should have certainly let us know if he was going to recuse himself and we would have put a different attorney general in, ' said Trump, revising a longtime anger at the situation. "No person, not even the President, is above the law".

Under Justice Department regulations, Trump cannot directly fire Mueller, but could order Rosenstein or his successor to remove the special counsel.

The president said it was a "terrible mistake" for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from Mueller's investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Ronaldo scores for 10th game in a row in Madrid derby draw
Speaking post-match, Zidane said: " Cristiano is Cristiano, he has been this player all his life, scoring 50 goals a season". Even worse is the practice of jumping on every moment like the overhead kick as "proof" of one or the other being better.

Agents reportedly seized communications between Cohen and Trump, tax documents and records related to Cohen's $130,000 payment, made days before the 2016 election. He called it "an attack on our country", and he complained, "That is really a whole new level of unfairness".

"Why don't I just fire Mueller?"

Hours after the raid, Trump raged: 'They raid an office of a personal attorney early in the morning and I think it's a disgrace'.

A source close to the Trump legal team told Fox News' Catherine Herridge that the raid on Cohen was "aggressive" and created to "squeeze the president". "I just heard that they broke into the office of one of my personal attorneys, a good man", Trump began, referring to agents who had obtained search warrants from a federal judge. This is a serious development.

France, Croatia reach Davis Cup semis, Nadal keeps Spain alive
Now world No.1 Nadal must beat world No.4 Alexander Zverev if Spain is to avoid defeat in the last eight. Spain is trying to extend its winning streak at home to 27 ties.

"Now Mueller and [Deputy Attorney General Rod] Rosenstein, they're truly fulfilling the mainstream media's fantasy here, or at least attempting to". It's a total witch hunt", said Trump, who claimed that he had "given over a million pages in documents to the special counsel. Mueller is already examining Russian collusion in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice by Trump.

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of NY released a statement warning Trump against firing Mueller. "Many people have said 'you should fire him.'" Firing Mueller could kick off a constitutional crisis in the United States, and would spark hundreds of pre-planned protests across the country. We'll see what occurs, however I believe it is actually a tragic scenario whenever you take a look at what occurred.

Trump answered questions about Daniels for the first time last week, saying he had no knowledge of the payment made by Cohen and he didn't know where Cohen had gotten the money.

Michael Avenatti, a lawyer for Daniels, said in an email that Cohen "has been placed in the crosshairs by Mr. Trump".

Records for low temperature also fell in Omaha (14 degrees), Norfolk (12), Hastings (11), Grand Island (10) and North Platte (4). Western Montana will see rain showers, however we are not expecting the amounts of precipitation as locations in Idaho.

There have been few signs that Mueller was interested in investigating the payment, though.
