'Rajya Sabha defeat won't affect SP-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh': Mayawati

Akhilesh Yadav Yogi Adityanath

Speaking about June 2, 1995 guest house case, Ms Mayawati said that SP president Akhilesh Yadav was very young that time and he has no relevance with that case.

Talking about the strategy for the Upper House polls, Mayawati said, 'a plan had been made that we come together so that the BJP candidate couldn't win the election. "'The Rajya Sabha election result will have no impact on the understanding between the BSP and SP and their conspiracy will cost them heavily as the workers of BSP and SP will now work with even more force to stop them from coming to power in 2019", she said.

"I welcome the views expressed by Mayawati-ji today".

"'There will not be an iota of difference in the close understanding between the BSP and SP because of the Rajya Sabha results yesterday", Mayawati said at a press conference.

Rand Paul exposes waste in the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill
However, Friday afternoon he agreed to sign the bill, because it would increase military spending, something he has championed. Thus, his conservative agenda was stripped away, in a pragmatic move to take the "throw him out of the WH" pressure.

BSP chief Mayawati has said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tried to break the newly formed alliance between her party and Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP).

"If I had been in place of Akhilesh Yadav, I would have given first priority to BSP candidate rather than the SP candidate", she said.

"When her MLA voted for our Rajya Sabha candidate, then she says money is being used in elections, but when Om Prakash Rajbhar voted for them, she calls it a vote of conscience, Singh said, adding the Rajya Sabha elections were done in a transparent manner".

The BSP chief suspended her MLA Anil Singh, alleging he cross-voted in favour of the BJP to serve his business interests. "BSP candidate Bhimrao Ambedkar got all the votes as well as one vote extra", Misra said.

Tathra fire alert messages under scrutiny
Hundreds who evacuated remained at a pop-up recovery centre at nearby Bega, under the care of charities and volunteers. Ms Lewis, who recently moved to the area, says it's well known the beachside town has limited mobile reception.

After the BJP won nine out of 10 Rajay Sabha seats seats, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had claimed that the election had exposed the "opportunistic face of SP".

'BSP should see and introspect that the party which supported them, actually betrayed them at the end, ' the Deputy Chief Minister said while taking a pot shot at the alliance.
