John Dowd, Trump's Lead Attorney in Russia Probe, Resigns

"I pray that Acting Attorney General Rosenstein will follow the brilliant and courageous example of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and bring an end to alleged Russian Federation collusion investigation manufactured by McCabe's boss James Comey based upon a fraudulent and corrupt dossier", Mr Dowd said in a March 17 statement. This came after Trump recently agreed to meet with Mueller. "The Mueller probe should never have been started in that there was no collusion and there was no crime".

He charged that the investigation "manufactured" and based on "fraudulent and corrupt" evidence. "WITCH HUNT!" he tweeted. Dowd and diGenova had very different views about attacking the intelligence community.

"The president is clearly the last, or one of the last people, an investigator would like to question", said Jeffrey Cramer, a former federal prosecutor who spent 12 years at the Department of Justice. That tends to happen during what Cotter called "tipping points" in a case.

Trump's legal strategy with Robert Mueller is to be as aggressive as possible until he backs down, kind of like how a jungle cat might take charge of his pride and assert himself as the alpha male.

Trump, Putin Speak; Kremlin Says Call Was Congratulatory
Sanders also confirmed that Trump also didn't raise the issues of election meddling or Russia's allegedly tainted voting process . Trump's overture to Putin was criticized by top senators in his own Republican Party, who called Sunday's election a sham.

We are under no illusions he will, but Trump should end his commentary on the investigation. "If I were one of his lawyers, I would insist on a written interview and refuse the in-person interview at all costs".

Sekulow said in a statement that Dowd was "a friend and has been a valuable member of our legal team". The new effort could involve "trying to put up a wall, procedurally", he added.

"Yes", said Mr Trump when asked if he would like to give his side of the story. Under his leadership, Mr Trump's team of lawyers advised the president to co-operate with the special counsel. "They're going to take a Joe diGenova, who haven't practiced law for quite some time I understand, and they're going to gut them - they're going to roll them over and spank them".

"The Thursday meeting was the first time the husband-and-wife legal team met with the President since the Monday announcement", CNN reports.

African leaders set to launch continental trade deal
Buhari on March 18, canceled his scheduled visit to Rwanda to attend an Extra-Ordinary Summit of the African Union on March 21. Obasanjo also stressed the importance of intra-African trade for Africa's economic development.

I don't know why special counsels have to be treated as sacrosanct when they're free to go rogue and turn their charters into unlimited fishing expeditions of anything they can find.

DiGenova did not respond to a request for comment on Thursday.

President Trump's legal team only consisted of Jay Sekulow and Ty Cobb as of late Friday.

"We will continue our ongoing representation of the President and our cooperation with the Office of Special Counsel", he said.

Del Potro and Djokovic on early collision course at Miami Open
Federer said he enjoyed the battle against Del Potro, who won for just the seventh time in 25 clashes between the pair. Federer mishit a forehand high into the air beyond the baseline, giving del Potro another break point.

In an email Dowd confirmed his departure to AFP, saying "I love the president and wish him well".
