Special Counsel Robert Mueller Subpoenas Trump Organization for Documents

US President Donald Trump boards Air Force One before departing from Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles

Despite the reporters' ignorance of the "breadth of the subpoena", Schmidt and Haberman assert that the subpoena applies to "all records related to Russian Federation and other topics he is investigating [.]" This is another way of saying they don't know what documents Mueller has subpoenaed.

This is the first known time he has demanded materials directly related to US President Donald Trump's businesses.

The breadth of the subpoena was not clear, nor was it clear why Mueller issued it instead of simply asking for the documents from the company, an umbrella organization that encompasses Trump's business ventures.

The development is coming two weeks after Sam Nunberg, former aide to Trump said he would risk jail term by not complying with a subpoena served him by Mueller but later retracted his comments.

The reports come as Mueller has appeared to be broadening his investigation to include the influence that foreign money may have played on Trump's political activities.

The request occurred in "recent weeks", according to the Times.

Toys R Us To Close All Stores

Trump has warned Mueller against stepping beyond the original scope of his investigation and zeroing in on the Trump family's business transactions.

The White House said the Trump administration is cooperating with the special counsel's requests. It will certainly be interesting to see where this leads.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders referred questions about the matter on Thursday to the Trump Organization.

In an interview with the Times last July, the president said that the special counsel would be crossing a "red line" if he probed his family's finances beyond any relationship with Russian Federation.

Trump would not say whether he would fire Mueller if he did look into his finances.

Meanwhile, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee moved earlier this week to close their investigation, saying they found no "collusion" between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as denying that Russian efforts to interfere in the election were done to bolster Trump, a central tenet of the U.S. intelligence community's conclusion about the meddling.

Jamie Carragher: Former Liverpool defender apologises for spitting incident
He went on: "I've made mistakes in my 25 year career, but this is the worst one". When asked why he did it, Carragher called it a "moment of madness".

The Trump Org already gave Mueller a raft of material related to Russian Federation a few months ago, per CNN.

However, Trump signed a "letter of intent" for a real-estate project in Moscow in 2015.

Russian Federation itself has denied United States intelligence agencies' conclusion that it meddled in the election and Trump has said there was no collusion with Moscow.

Mueller is also examining whether the president has tried to obstruct the investigation. According to the Times, Mueller's office has shared topics it wants to discuss with the president.

A month later, the White House counsel, Donald McGahn, threatened to quit after Trump asked him to have Mueller fired because the president believed he had conflict-of-interest issues that precluded him from running the special-counsel investigation.

Packers to release wide receiver Jordy Nelson
The Seahawks traded for him before the 2015 season, giving up Max Unger and a first round pick for Graham and a fourth rounder. Even at age 32, soon to be 33 in May, as long as receivers can get open, then age shouldn't matter.
