WWDC 2018 will happen on June 4th

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference

The Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC, for 2018 will be held in San Jose, California, much like previous year and is scheduled for June 4-8. This marks the second year in a row WWDC has been held in the South Bay, after a long run at San Francisco's Moscone Center.

Known as WWDC, the event annually hosts technical sessions for developers from around the world, and serves as the launching pad for the latest versions of Apple's macOS, iOS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems. Apple is planning to return to San Jose again in 2018, between June 4th and June 8th this time around.

Registration for this event begin March 22, 2018, at 10am PT and tickets will be offered by random selection. At last year's WWDC, Apple showed off upgraded iPads, the HomePod speaker, new Macs, and software-based enhancements for iPhones and Macs.

Apple is expected to announce iOS 12 and the next version of macOS at WWDC. Apple will then randomly select developers who can then purchase a ticket for $1,599.
