Venus Williams moves into third round at BNP Paribas Open

Serena Williams will play her sister, Venus today (Monday) in the third round at Indian Wells as she continues her comeback after the birth of her child.

Serena Williams and Venus Williams will go head-to-head for the 29th time when they meet in the 2018 Indian Wells Round of 32 on Monday, but for the first instance in their historic rivalry, it's not just sister vs sister.

Venus's victory also comes 17 years after an ugly booing incident led to a 14-year boycott of the tournament by the sisters. After her second round win over Kiki Bertens, Serena said she "would prefer to play someone else, anybody else, literally anybody else, but it has to happen now".

"It's a huge difference to play her in the semi-finals or even the quarter-finals or a final as opposed to the third round".

The fans' reaction in California came after Venus pulled out of her semifinal with Serena just before the tussle, citing a knee injury.

"That's totally gone out of my mind", she said. "Seventeen years seems like forever ago". Let us know what you think about Serena Williams Taking on the beauty industry in the comment box below!
