Shaquem Griffin Runs 4.38-Second 40, Continues To Amaze At NFL Combine

Shaquem Griffin wears prosthetic arm at NFL Combine during impressive bench press

Former UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin had an outstanding collegiate career despite only having one hand, and his success didn't stop at the NFL Combine.

NFL Network host Rich Eisen said the unofficial time of 4.38 was the fastest time for a linebacker since at least 2003.

He put up an impressive bench press performance on Saturday, doing 20 reps at 225 pounds (102 kg).

Dapchi abduction: United Nations calls for release of missing girls
The insurgents drove into the town of Dapchi on Monday and attacked the girls' school, sending hundreds of students fleeing. The troops were moved to Kanama on a reinforcement after Nigerian soldiers came under heavy firepower there.

Shaquem Griffin, who initially was not invited to the combine after earning Defensive Player of the Year honors in the American Athletic Conference, is trying to become the first player with one hand to be drafted in modern National Football League history.

Griffin, a linebacker from the University of Central Florida, is attempting to make his way into the professional ranks despite losing his lower left arm aged four to pre-natal condition Amniotic Band Syndrome. He was the (American Athletic) Conference player of the year two years ago.

I love this video, and I hope it goes down in history and is replayed all throughout the year.

Lyon: We won't underestimate South Africa
But he's quick to let out a disclaimer, "But I am quite ordinary at picking what the wicket is going to do". Neither of them were fit or selected for the past two tours despite already being in the Australian set-up.

He worked out on the defensive line, at linebacker and at safety during the Senior Bowl in January.

"I want them to know that I don't have to be the guy who just rushes the quarterback", Griffin said. I got a few interceptions against some slots (two in college).

This wasn't his brother spotting him - the one who he was sure used to surreptitiously help him - but this new spotter was hyping him up and the crowd joined in as did his fellow linebacker prospects. But at the end of the day, it's not my choice.

Winter Olympics 2018: Delta declined gold-winning USA curling team's upgrade request
The United States' performance was highlighted by snowboarder Shaun White 's gold medal run in the men's halfpipe. One Twitter user joked about the Olympic tradition of biting into gold medals, to ensure their quality.

Look for Griffin to be taken on Day 2 of the 2018 National Football League draft. And I'm convinced that God has put me on this earth for a reason, and that reason is to show people that it doesn't matter what anybody else says, because people are going to doubt you regardless. "I always hold myself to a higher standard because, if we're doing drills and I drop a ball, it's, 'He dropped the ball because he has one hand'".
