Dublin Airport says it is unlikely that there will be any flights tomorrow.

Shannon Airport will close from 6pm and flights are not expected to resume until Saturday.

"Based on the latest weather warnings in place for Ireland until Saturday morning, Ryanair expects some further disruptions tomorrow morning and has had to cancel a number of flights to/from Dublin airport".

Flybe has also cancelled all flight at Dublin and Knock.

Hundreds of flights had already been cancelled or delayed, with Ryanair pulling all its flights since Wednesday and Aer Lingus only attempting trans-Atlantic routes.

Many passengers hoping to fly with the airline have been disappointed to discovered their plans have been disrupted by the weather.

The spokesperson said that they are awaiting news from other airlines on their schedules.
