At least two people have been killed and scores wounded in a bombing at a mosque in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi, according to medical sources. Security in many parts of Libya is poor.

The city of Benghazi, controlled by terrorist groups until 2017, has been witnessing an escalation of bombings, particularly on mosques.

Mutaz al-Mu'tri, Benghazi's security directorate spokesperson, said two bomb bags had been used in the attack, according to Libya's 218 tv news channel.

Medics announced that 75 people were wounded in the attack, which took place two weeks after 35 people were killed in another twin bombing at a mosque in the city.
