China says Iran nuclear deal not derailed, pledges constructive role

US President Donald Trump extends Iran sanctions relief warns it's the last time

U.S. senators have been urging the White House to give Congress more time to craft a legislative fix to concerns about the deal, even though lawmakers have made little progress since Trump punted the issue to them in October. If Iran does not comply with any of these provisions, American nuclear sanctions would automatically resume.

Trump has referred to the Obama administration's Iran deal as the worst agreement every reached, and he has repeatedly disparaged the USA agreement to waive key economic sanctions as part of the 2015 accord.

"Trump's policy & today's announcement amount to desperate attempts to undermine a solid multilateral agreement, maliciously violating its paras 26, 28 & 29".

Icy conditions possible Friday as cold front replaces mild weather in Toronto
Environment Canada is predicting as much as 20 millimetres of rain to fall between now and Friday afternoon. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots could become "icy and slippery".

Iranian officials have acknowledged the widespread anger over the economy, which remains weak despite the lifting of global sanctions under the 2015 nuclear agreement with world powers.

Aluwaisheg wrote: "Washington's push to counter Iran's malign activities appears to be the most serious to date - and the most comprehensive, as it covers the nuclear program, ballistic missiles program, support for terrorism, narcoterrorism and money laundering".

Trump said he is open to working with Congress on bipartisan legislation regarding Iran. "Those who, for whatever reason, choose not to work with us will be siding with the Iranian regime's nuclear ambitions, and against the people of Iran and the peaceful nations of the world", Trump said. The signatories of the accord were the US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China and the EU.

On Saturday, Iran's Foreign Ministry announced that Tehran will never renegotiate the 2015 nuclear deal despite the USA pressure.

The statement came a day after Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted that the nuclear deal is "not renegotiable", and demanded the United States live up to its own commitments under the agreement - "just like Iran". They are concerned about Iran's nuclear programme but also its aggressive expansionism in the region and agree that Trump is now doing, what they have been doing to years: tying Iran's Iran's ballistic missile programme, support for terrorism and nuclear programme together. At least 21 people are believed to have died during the protests, and almost 4,000 people were arrested. "We have sanctioned almost 100 individuals and entities involved with the Iranian regime's ballistic missile program and its other illicit activities", he said.

To keep the 2015 deal alive before he is required to sign another waiver in 120 days from now, Trump outlined four "critical components" that must be included in United States legislation regarding Iran.

Last year, Trump accused the Obama administration of wiretapping Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential campaign. The president, she said, has been following the topic and "wanted to put something out".

The Saturday report said Telegram, which has some 40 million users in Iran, is accessible once again through both Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
