YouTube Puts Logan Paul Film On Hold, Removes Him From Preferred Program

Logan Paul may face 'further consequences' from YouTube

Paul, 22, is one of YouTube's most popular personalities, with his videos drawing millions of views from a mainly youth-orientated audience.

Many of you have been frustrated with our lack of communication recently.

"You're right to be", the company said.

In an emailed statement on Wednesday, a spokesperson for YouTube said, "In light of recent events, we have made a decision to remove Logan Paul's channels from Google Preferred".

YouTube has offered a form of apology for the video YouTuber Logan Paul posted showing extensive footage of a suicide victim in Japan's so-called "Suicide Forest".

Women of Democratic Party to wear all black to Trump's SOTU address
More recently, the group spearheaded a call for a Congressional investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Trump. Democratic aides predicted other lawmakers will bring guests with perspectives relevant to the harassment debate.

The fallout for Logan Paul continues as YouTube has announced that it is cutting all business ties with the star following the backlash surrounding his insensitive "Suicide Forest" video.

He was subsequently criticised, with filmmaker and actor Anna Akana arguing: "That body was a person someone loved". Logan Paul later claimed that the monetised upload was an attempt to create suicide awareness.

It added that it was taking steps to ensure similar videos are "never circulated again". As of this article's publishing, Paul has approximately 15.6 million subscribers on YouTube. But with Google's technology and monetary clout, there's nearly certainly more YouTube can do to tackle problem videos that get uploaded onto it.

Paul has since stepped away from his YouTube channel to "reflect".

The video-sharing website had previously come under fire last month for not upholding their community guidelines after media reports of child exploitation. The company also said that Paul's "new Originals are on hold", which means that the video blogger's upcoming YouTube web film The Thinning: New World Order may be in jeopardy.

He rolled in a 15-foot birdie putt at the par-three second and drained an eight-footer at the par-three eighth. I know exactly where I wanted it to come down and it did, so I knew it was going to be pretty good.

The statement hinted at potential changes to YouTube's policies and algorithms. The company later confirmed that it had issued a strike against Paul's channel, but it still took over a week before yesterday's open letter from YouTube finally acknowledged the problematic video head on.

This is the first time YouTube has stated that Paul's video violated the "community guidelines".

A YouTube spokeswoman did not immediately respond to request for further comment.
