Minor natural disaster tremors felt in U. buildings

4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Rumbles DC Area

According to the United States Geological Survey, a 4.4 magnitude quake struck about eight miles off the coast of Dover at 4:47 p.m, prompting people throughout the city to wonder what the hell just happened.

The natural disaster was about 6 miles east-northeast of Dover and was registered at a depth of 4 miles.

As of about 5 p.m., Northampton County dispatchers fielded two calls about houses shaking in Palmer and Forks townships, a dispatcher said.

Initial reports stated the natural disaster was a 5.1 magnitude, but has since been downgraded to a 4.4.
