Deadly BrahMos test-fired from Sukhoi-30MKI, becomes deep surgical-strike missile

Brahmos is the world's fastest supersonic missile which tested successfully today confirmed by the defence ministry of India. The success of the test firing is a big step for Indian defence as it could help Indian Air Force conduct surgical strikes easily.

BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, successfully tested from a Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet in Odisha's Chandipur. Footage released by the IAF, and shot from an escort plane, showed the missile in free fall before its engine firing and propelling it towards a target.

The Indian Army had in May successfully test-fired the advanced BrahMos Block III land attack cruise missile in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Recently, the range variants were upgraded from 290 km to 450 km after India joined the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).
