Sylvester Stallone set to direct Michael B. Jordan in 'Creed 2'

Taking to his Instagram account months after "Creed 2" was announced, Stallone confirmed he will take over directing duties from Ryan Coogler for the much-anticipated sequel.

He also shared photos of Jordan from the first film to get fans exited about this sequel.

Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan are both expected to return for the sequel, as well as Dolph Lundgren as Drago. Creed followed the life and career of Adonis Johnson (played by Michael B. Jordan) as he attempts to break into the world of boxing, to follow in the footsteps of his father. "One more Round!" said Stallone.

The 71-year-old actor didn't reveal who would be writing the project or whether Coogler will be some way involved in the film. He has quite a number of directorial credits including four films from the Rocky franchise the last being 2006's "Rocky Balboa". Creed 2 may well sneak into cinemas by the end of next year too, with production set to begin in February 2018.
