Damien Chazelle's Musical Drama Series 'The Eddy' Nabbed by Netflix

After commissioning shows from the likes of Baz Luhrmann and the Duffer brothers - who were behind "The Getdown" and "Stranger Things" respectively - they've now snapped up the rights to Damien Chazelle " s new series "The Eddy'. Months after his studio musical throwback La La Land became the toast of the awards circuit and made him the youngest to win the Best Director Oscar at age 32, Chazelle plans a jump to television, specifically, Netflix, with musical series called The Eddy. The musical-themed drama revolves around a club, with its owner and the house band trying to cope with "the volatile city that surrounds them".

What's your favorite Netflix original series? Its music comes courtesy of six-time Grammy Award-winner Glen Ballard, who wrote tracks for Alanis Morissette and Michael Jackson.
