Steph Curry shoots 74, calls Web.com Tour debut an 'amazing experience'

Stephen Curry listed as a 3000-1 long shot to win his first professional golf event

Curry is now tied for 142nd place in a field of 154, 11 shots off the pace set by first-round leader Nicholas Thompson who shot a seven under par round of 63.

"After how yesterday went, I'm extremely proud of backing it up with another solid round, because it could have gone either way", Curry said.

"Shooting even par on the back after a shaky start is definitely a proud moment", he said. I know for a fact he was the happiest person at TPC Stonebrae this week getting to watch me tee it up on this stage.

"It was an wonderful experience", Curry told reporters after the round. News of his first-round 74 made a notably favorable impression on some top-tier golfers.

Scientists prepare for rare phenomenon during total solar eclipse
Kentuckians will have some of the best seats in the house, but safely viewing the eclipse is important. The August total eclipse is hitting superstar status thanks to its high-profile path across the US.

"I think he certainly beat most everybody's expectations but I don't think that really surprised him", fellow Under Armour athlete Spieth said.

Many have tried and failed, and Curry faces a steep battle on Friday to make the cut, which is expected to fall at around two under. So to be able to see them up close and personal was a treat for me.

"It could have been all those 80, 90 talks I heard going into the tournament". "He has really good touch around the greens".

Curry spoiled his chances of making it to the weekend with four bogeys on the front nine.

He brushed off the criticism of his management of the State Department. Tillerson took issue with those characterizations.

A bogey on the last was not the ideal way to end his day, but Curry was already looking ahead to Friday's second round. "Then it got into the social media stuff, but a lot of people had their foot in their mouth, so that was cool, to set a little fire in that regard".

Stephen Curry won't be punching his PGA Tour card any time soon, but the two-time NBA MVP did not embarrass himself in his professional golf debut this week.

"I'll stay in my lane and enjoy".

Asked if he would "pull a Michael [Jordan]" and leave basketball for another sport, a smiling Curry replied: "I will be suiting up for the Warriors next year".
