Pokemon GO's First Legendary Is Lugia, Will Start Appearing For Everyone Soon

"Today at Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago, technical issues created problems for a large number of players attending the event", Niantic said in a statement according to ABC station WLS-TV. Fans of the game have been asking for legendary monsters to be included in the game's official roster, and it appears that players can get their hands on legendary monsters at "Pokemon GO" Fest this July 22. The legendary Pokemon will appear in the game as eggs in gyms and will act as bosses for new raids. "It has been a really unfortunate situation". Many attendees traveled from across the country or paid hundreds of dollars for tickets being re-sold online.

"Pokemon GO" Fest participants will get the chance to get legendary monsters before they are launched in-game worldwide. By 1:30 p.m., Niantic Chief Marketing Officer Mike Quigley announced there would be refunds of the original $20 ticket cost in addition to $100 of in-game credits, the Chicago Tribune first reported. However, Niantic is doing everything they can to try and right the wrongs, they released an update on their website letting everyone know what to expect.

Additionally, Quirico revealed that the next Legendary creature to be added to Pokemon Go is Articuno.

Meanwhile, those around the world who aren't at the event will be able to find Lugia in Raid Battles within the next 48 hours. Although there has been some confusion about this, it appears that the legendaries are going to be available in Raid Battles from now on, whereas it's the bonuses that are only going to last until Monday. "Everyone who has successfully checked in will receive Lugia in your account", she said.
